• Jack Doohan, Kush Maini and Sophia Flörsch will represent BWT Alpine F1 Team at the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

• BWT Alpine F1 Team will run the 2012 Renault-powered E20 up Goodwood Hill on all four days of the Festival of Speed weekend between Thursday 11 July-Sunday 14 July.

• Kush Maini will drive the E20 on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th July, Jack Doohan on Saturday 13th July, and Sophia Flörsch on Sunday 14th July.

BWT Alpine F1 Team Reserve Driver, Jack Doohan, and Alpine Academy drivers Kush Maini and Sophia Flörsch will headline BWT Alpine F1 Team’s visit to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this July.

Jack, Kush and Sophia will drive the Enstone-built E20 on the Goodwood Hill across the four-day event. The car, the team’s challenger in the 2012 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, was driven by Kimi Räikkönen to victory in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that year. The E20 last demoed at Goodwood in 2019.

Jack, who has been BWT Alpine F1 Team Reserve Driver since the start of 2023, will drive and meet fans on Saturday 13th July. The 21-year-old Australian has previously driven Formula 1 machinery on multiple occasions, taking over driving duties in five rookie Free Practice sessions for BWT Alpine F1 Team over the last three seasons, most recently in Montréal in June.

Kush and Sophia are both members of the Alpine Academy and race on Formula 1 weekends in FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3, respectively.

Kush, who will drive at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th, recently completed his first full day test in a modern Formula 1 car, the 2022 A522, in Spielberg in Austria as part of his driver development in the Academy.

Sophia, who became the first woman to score points in FIA Formula 3 history at Circuit Spa-Francorchamps in 2023, will experience her first taste behind the wheel of an F1 car, when she drives the E20 up the Goodwood Hill on Sunday 14th.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an unmissable date in the motorsport calendar for fans and teams alike. Following on immediately from the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit, the summertime event brings together all categories in the motorsport and automotive industries.

BWT Alpine F1 Team will join the celebrations with Formula 1 displays and demonstrations across all four days, alongside Alpine Cars which will also feature at the event on the manufacturer grid, bringing a collection of vehicles including the brand’s Pikes Peak challenger, the hydrogen-powered Alpenglow concept car and its newly launched A290 100% electric urban sports car for its UK debut.

Fans will also have the chance to win tickets to attend the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Saturday 13th July, with one lucky fan winning a pair of Surtees Pavillion Hospitality tickets and five runners up winning two general admissions tickets, all in a competition run by BWT Alpine F1 team on social media. The competition will close on Sunday 30th June at 23:59.

Driver Schedule

Thursday 11th July: Kush Maini

Friday 12th July: Kush Maini

Saturday 13th July: Jack Doohan

Sunday 14th July: Sophia Flörsch

Jack Doohan, BWT Alpine F1 Team Reserve Driver: I am looking forward to attending Goodwood Festival of Speed this year and taking on the Hillclimb in the E20 with BWT Alpine F1 Team. Goodwood is a must-go for any racing fan and I am excited to see what else will be driven during the day. My Dad has ridden up on a MotoGP bike so I am hoping I will be able to get one or two tips from him on what to expect. I cannot wait to meet all the fans who come along, it will be a mega day.

Kush Maini, Alpine Academy Driver: I am excited to run in the E20 at Goodwood FOS for BWT Alpine F1 Team. To have another go in an F1 car, after my test in Spielberg, will be brilliant, particularly one with such a successful record. I remember watching Kimi Räikkönen race for the team in 2012 so getting to drive his car will be a special one for me. Goodwood is for the fans, and I hope to see as many people as possible at the event.

Sophia Floersch, Alpine Academy Driver: It is an incredible opportunity to get my first experience behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car at Goodwood with BWT Alpine F1 Team. I cannot thank them enough for giving me the chance to drive up the hill in the E20. To have my first time in an F1 car at such a historic event as Goodwood will make it extra special. I hope it is the first of many!
