• Axel Plasse is appointed Vice President of Hypertech Alpine, effective September 1, 2025.
• He will join Alpine Management Committee and report to Philippe Krief, in his double function of Alpine CEO and Chief Technology Officer of the Renault Group.
Axel Plasse will join Alpine on September 1st as Vice President of Hypertech Alpine (Viry-Châtillon site).
Axel Plasse replaces Bruno Famin, who will be appointed Alpine Vice President of Motorsport, in charge of sport activities in Viry-Châtillon, continuing to push sports performance with his extensive experience, and will report to Axel Plasse.
Combining unique cutting-edge skills, agile organisation, racing DNA and competitive mindset, the centre of excellence 'Hypertech Alpine' will play a key role in the development of ultra-high-performance vehicles and innovations in advanced technologies, for Alpine and Renault Group.
Axel Plasse is joining to accelerate the transformation of Viry-Châtillon site, with double ambition of getting on the podiums in motorsport and bring unique innovative assets to Alpine and to Renault Group.
Graduated at ISAE-Supaero, IFPEN School, and HEC Paris, Axel Plasse began his career in 1993 as test bench engineer at Renault Sport F1. After 23 years in Renault's motorsport division – with an active role in the first Renault F1 championship title as RS25 V10 engine Project Director. He joined Renault Group in April 2017 as Powertrain and Transmission Development Strategy Director for the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance. In 2021, he joined Valeo Group and is currently operating as Power/Mechanical Division R&D and Product Marketing Director.
I would like to start by thanking Bruno who led the Viry-Châtillon site for three years and successfully managed the first step of its transformation into Hypertech Alpine with continuous engagement. He will continue pushing the boundaries of the Alpine performance in motorsport. I now look forward welcoming Axel back in the Group and working closely with him. His experience both in road cars and motorsport will complement the already well-established teams and I have no doubt he will be successful in this crucial next step into the transformation of our center of excellence explains Philippe Krief, Alpine CEO.
